How to set up a Clash of Clans Discord server
Use WILD's dedicated CoC setup wizard for channel categories, rank roles, verification, donations, wars, CWL and Discord action panels. These steps also work when adding CoC tools to an existing community server.
Invite WILD Bot and grant appropriate permissions
Invite WILD Bot, confirm Manage Roles, Manage Channels, View Channels, Send Messages and Embed Links, and move its Bot role above the clan roles it should maintain. Give only the permissions required for your configuration.
Open the dedicated Clash of Clans setup wizard
Log in using Discord, choose a server you can manage, then open Server Setup → Clash of Clans. The dedicated preset uses emoji-based channel names; the general-server add-on uses CoC-prefixed names. Create defaults, choose custom names or reuse existing channels, categories and roles.
Add your tracked clan tags
Enter the Clash of Clans clan tag, including its # prefix. Clan tracking must be enabled for rank sync and activity reports. Tracked clan information updates as polling succeeds.
Configure the verification entry gate
If your server requires a linked Clash account, enable Require verified Clash account. Keep the verification panel visible to newcomers while hiding previously public categories. Test this with a non-staff Discord account before inviting members.
Let players verify a village
Players use the Link Clash Account Discord panel, /coc player link or their WILD Web profile. Each player enters their player tag and the API token from Clash of Clans Settings → More Settings. Never post tokens to public chat.
Configure role mapping and synchronisation
Map your Leader, Co-Leader, Elder and Member roles, Town Hall roles and optional ranked-league and family roles. WILD assigns roles when verified account and game data are available. Review role position and Manage Roles permissions if an assignment fails.
Set up notification destinations and action panels
Select channels for donations, clan movement, village upgrades, wars, CWL, Capital and account-link announcements. Choose a role to ping only when needed. Publish panels into their selected channels from the dashboard panel manager.
Review CWL plans and check live reports
Configure roster signup rules, approvals, lineups and war alerts. Review the War Analytics and CWL archive in WILD Web. First-time tracking needs a baseline before historical changes can be reported.
Before you go live
Check that the Bot can assign roles, that the welcome/verification channel remains visible, that staff-only channels are private, and that every panel action respects Discord permissions. Game data and account-link processing may be delayed by external API conditions.
